This year, McGill Robotics will be competing in the AUVSI Foundation’s and ONR’s 19th International RoboSub Competition. The competition will take place from July 25 – July 31, 2016, at the SSC Pacific TRANSDEC in San Diego, California. Each team is required to design and build a small underwater vessel that can autonomously navigate a specified course while manoeuvring obstacles and completing tasks.

The competition itself takes place in the US Navy’s anechoic pool testing facility, shown on the map to the right.  The top teams win prize money and the opportunity to connect with the most prominent companies in the industry.  For more information, please see the competition website at AUVSIFoundation.org.
